In 1985, Mar Mac Farms started in the Red Angus Breed by purchasing 3 females from Wayne Heape. The one cow, 30W, went on to produce beyond our expectations She mothered:

- Red McRae's Blazer 336C owned by Mar Mac Farms and Alta Genetics Inc, Airdrie, AB. Alta had tremendous sales on this easy calving, growth sire. There are many Blazer females in the Mar Mac herd.

Since then we have purchased females at Bootjack, Broken Heart, Soderglen, Ipplito, Crowfoot, Anderson's Red Angus and more.

Our Red Angus program is very much geared around producing Red Angus bulls with easy fleshing ability, natural thickness and performance. AI sires used are Mulberry, Red McRae's Keystone, Red McRae's Split Shift, Red Soder Canyon and Red JB Mohican 5001.

NEWS
Mar Mac Farms has just purchased 25 females from Buck Valley Ranch. We have always liked the easy fleshing, milking ability and performance in the Buck Valley cowherd and are excited to aquire these females.
